Clemson University, one of the country’s top public universities, combines the best of small-college teaching and big-time science, engineering and technology.

Clemson provides educational and enrichment opportunities to create leaders, thinkers and entrepreneurs solving real-world problems through research, outreach and public service. With this goal in mind, Clemson offers a variety of educational programs, workshops and materials for K-12 students and teachers. Programs include:

Geology K-12 Outreach

In collaboration with other science outreach programs at Clemson University, the Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences Department's Education Outreach program offers a variety of professional development opportunities for K-12 teachers interested in geoscience or environmental education. <more>

South Carolina DNA Learning Center

The purpose of the South Carolina DNA Learning Center is providing modern genetics and biotechnology outreach education to students in grades 5-12, teachers and the public. <more>

SC Life

SC Life provides life sciences education for middle school and high school students and their teachers. Programs for teachers include workshops and graduate-level science courses, community-based research projects, classroom resources including virtual field trips, and loans of equipment footlockers. <more>

Entomology K-12 Education

Entomology is the scientific study of insects. Clemson Entomology faculty and students are available for classroom or outdoor lab visits, locally, and can provide expertise in helping educators create their own multi-disciplinary classroom experience. <more>
